Since 2014 the Network of Independent Educators for Food Sovereignty have been working with groups of young and community leaders from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and México.
We have provided courses and workshops on the following topics:
- Introduction to Permaculture Design
- Organic Agriculture Practices
- Environmental Awareness
More than 500 young and leaders from more than 50 rural and urban communities in Guatemala, El Salvador and México have participated in these courses and workshops.
As independent educators we have facilitated courses and workshops on various topics over the last 7 years, such as:
- Permaculture Design
- Introduction to Organic Agriculture
- Production and management of organic fertilizers
- Design and implementation of School and Community Gardens
- Art and Recycling
- Environmental education
- Climate change
These courses and workshops have been developed over time as independent educators since 2010. Each of us has had different experiences, worked with a variety of educational programs, non-governmental organizations, universities and collectives that work on issues of environmental education and leadership with local and foreign youth in Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, the United States and Tanzania.
