My name is Elder Rumaldo Elias Yoxóm, of Kich´e ethnic originating from Momostenango, Totonicapán.
I focus on studying the career of Agronomy at the University of San Carlos de Guatemala at the headquarters of CUNOC where I understood a host of things, being totally convinced to continue strengthening diversity in the field in order to get the most food and quality In addition to university training I have had additional credits such as the Permaculture certification granted by the San Lucas Tolimán Mesoamerican Institute of Permaculture, Diploma in Organic Agriculture in Mexico City.
As an Agronomist in Agricultural Production Systems, I have more than four years of experience in the field of Permaculture and Organic Agriculture. Research carried out on native plants, specifically in the cultivation of Amaranth in the Atitlán Lake basin, complemented with the characterization of Native Plants on the INCAP farm (Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama. Likewise the preparation and bio testing inputs in the agricultural field I am currently working on the implementation of family gardens focused on the rescue of native plants in the Q’eqchi region, from the Federation of National Cooperatives.
